Terms & Conditions
Last updated 20 August 2026. These terms govern every purchase and every use of the Iron Defence Academy website, the StreetWise Women™ online course, in-person workshops, corporate licences and merchandise.
1. Who you are contracting with
This website and all programs on it are operated by Iron Defence Security Corporation, a company registered in Ontario, Canada ("Iron Defence", "we", "us"). You can reach us at foluwa.rewane@irondefencesecurity.ca or by phone at 647-781-5043.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com Market Ltd. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service enquiries relating to billing and handles returns, and their terms of sale apply in addition to these terms. Iron Defence remains responsible for delivering the course, workshop or merchandise you purchased.
2. Accounts
You must be 18 or older to purchase. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Course access is personal to one named learner and may not be shared, resold or transferred, except through a corporate or community licence where seats are formally assigned to named employees or members.
3. What you are buying
Level 1 (online): a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to stream the StreetWise Women™ Level 1 modules, scenario exercises, downloadable resources and assessment for 12 months from the date access is granted, plus a certificate on successful completion.
Level 2 and Level 3 (in person): one seat at a scheduled session. Seats are confirmed only once payment is received and a slot is allocated.
Membership: a recurring subscription billed monthly or annually until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account; access continues to the end of the paid period.
Merchandise: physical goods produced on demand and shipped worldwide. See our shipping, delivery & returns page.
4. Pricing, payment and taxes
Prices are shown in Canadian dollars unless stated otherwise. Sales tax, VAT or GST is calculated and collected by Paddle based on your location and shown before you pay. Course access and workshop seats are provisioned automatically only after Paddle confirms that payment has succeeded.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- record, download, copy, republish or resell any course video, audio, transcript or document;
- share your login, certificate or seat with anyone else;
- use the material to deliver competing training or to train others commercially;
- attempt to bypass payment, access controls or assessment gating;
- upload unlawful, harassing, defamatory or infringing content to any form or console;
- probe, scan, overload or disrupt the site or its infrastructure.
6. Intellectual property
StreetWise Women™, the S.A.F.E. Method™, Iron Defence Academy, all course content, scripts, narration, video, artwork, wordmarks and assessment banks are owned by Iron Defence Security Corporation and protected by copyright and trade mark law. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership to you. Corporate co-branding is permitted only under an executed licence and the consent step shown at submission.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access, without refund, if you breach these terms — in particular the acceptable use and intellectual property sections — or if a payment is reversed, charged back or fraudulently made. Where the breach is minor and fixable we will contact you first. You may close your account at any time by emailing us.
8. Safety disclaimer
StreetWise Women™ is civilian safety education. It is not Ontario Security Guard Basic Training, law-enforcement, tactical, weapons or martial-arts training, and it does not provide a government-issued licence. No program can guarantee safety. You are responsible for your own decisions and for complying with the law where you live and travel. In an emergency, contact your local emergency number.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or connected with any purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
10. Changes, governing law and contact
We may update these terms; the version in force is the one published here on the date of your purchase. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction.
